Little League was first introduced on to the Midlands Conference by Sutton Sting founder, Gary Apsley, back in 2014. The idea was simple; to try and bridge the gap between the cross-ice format and U12 junior league format.
Since then the age groups have been changed and the programme now tries to encompass the gap between U9, U11 and U13.
The programme is fully supported by the Chair of the EIHA's JLMC, Jacqueline Pye, and there is even a spin-off series based on Lil League called the JLMC "NHL" Tournament.
The Sting Lil' League programme is now in it's fourth year and has recently been expanded to include the Bigga League initiative for players at U13.
